My name is Donna Turner-Witbeck. I started teaching art in St. Louis, MO in 1998, but I have been an artist since I was a kid. I have always loved making things. I have drawn, painted, printed, sewn, built, knitted, dyed, woven. I have worked with clay, glue, fiber, wood, stone, film, glass, ink, papier mache, collage.
I have worked in several industries, including fashion design, the film and television industry, and professional photography, but my true love lies in teaching. I was a freelance educator and community artist in St. Louis for a few years, working with many populations, especially marginalized and at-risk communities. I began teaching in the public school system in 2001. I have taught in the Warrensburg R-VI district since 2002.
While I loved teaching in the public schools, I have decided to strike out on my own! Turner House Arts is a private working and teaching studio. I will be giving classes on-site so check out my classes page! I will also come to you. I would love to teach a class to your group! Email me or give me a call!
I will also be working on my own artwork in the studio. You never know what I might be up to. Stop by anytime to see what’s happening at Turner House Arts! I’d love to show you around!
I am SO EXCITED to work with you and welcome your feedback and suggestions. Use our Contact Us page to get in touch.
